I'll Have Another will be close to the pace with only 11-12 horses running & I think he will get the job done! Just like I told Ivan, "What's better then winning the KY Derby?" Winning the KY Derby & the Preakness.
@Mary Z, you've made me blush. Only in my wildest dream could I imagine being part donkey.
Sorry "Chantal".....oooops
Who cares what the horse looked like, even if Shantal was on top of a donkey I would have been happy!
I think it's just asking too much for Bodemeister at this point after just 4 starts, he ran hard in the AK Derby, other horses are more seasoned. I think it sets up for a closer & Bode is definitely not a closer, he will sit right behind Trinniberg, the pace will be very quick.
DNB. He's at the top of his game right now & should love the distance.
I also have a very good feeling about
Has he picked-up a Derby mount yet?
It's hard to knock him after that huge race, but it has happend so many times where the KY Derby cave in some of the best horses. I thought he ran hard in the Arkansas Derb, don't know why Smith didn't save him for the big day, no reason to win by 9 lenghts. I'm still have my doubts that a horse can improve that much just after running 2nd in the San Felipe, unless he just beat some mediocre horses.
This should be another very competative race, just like the KY Derby. I think Summer Applause has a very good chance to win the Oaks & I do believe we will see another jockey aboard in the Oaks.
