No clearly you don't get it. I was calling you OUT about you being WRONG. You said songbird ran a slow time in the juvenile on a fast track when is fact she ran an incredibly fast time on a SLOW track. I'm calling out and have proof that was indeed slow that day NOT fast like you tried to play off. Terra has not shown near the speed or talent that songbird has. She may end up being s great filly as well but she has not proven to be better than songbird yet. End of story.
So Pharoah wasn't good because he didn't 'finish strong' in the Haskell? Lol if anything it's MORE impressive when a horse finished geared down than all out. Songbird hasn't ever been asked to run hard and still demolishes fields and pulls away all on her own. The rider is the one that slows her down towards the wire as he starts to pull up on the reigns and stand up.
Not sure what breeders cup you were watching but the Keeneland track plays slow- not fast. Liam's map ran a track record in the mile and it was 1.35- honor code was his mile at Belmont in the met mile at 1.32. Keeneland track was not playing fast at all.
Tp looks great so far but has not demonstrated the early natural speed that songbird has. Tp also has not faced a field as deep as songbird has. There are some other fillies that look just as good if not better than terra right now- both carina Mia and Cathryn Sophia have run lights out performances. Terra looks promising but is no where near as accomplished as songbird is right now. Songbird is looking bigger, stronger and better than last year and that's a scary thought
Is this a joke? She could have run this mile in 1.33 if she wanted to. She galloped home and wasn't even breaking a sweat after the race. Even the announcers were being sarcastic about how exhausted she looked- because she looked like she could run around the track again. Bottom line is she is undefeated, untested, and has won almost every single race in a completely canter home easily destroying all competition
I beg to differ- Palice malice still holds the distinction of being the best son of curlin. PM had great stamina but has what keen ice lacks- early natural speed. It takes a special horse to win both the Belmont and the met mile.
I agree but they are too scarred from eight bells. I wish they would run her in the Santa Anita derby to just try her against the boys so they can get more confidence back after seeing her demolish the boys. But I doubt they will face boys until after the oaks
Shif, why so low you think?
I agree doc. Same effortless stride, same running style, same natural freak ability speed, same desire to win!
Pharoah got beat because he was exhausted entering the travers. He got too worked up on Friday, and it was very apparent he wasn't the same horse due to the travers being so close after the Haskell and after he had the exhausting triple crown trip. Pharoah proved how exhausted he was by getting a nice long rest and demolishing all comers in the breeders cup. Pharoah had pressure from mr z in the Preakness and had a 22 opening quarter and still demolished them. People thought he couldn't take pace pressure but that's not true- he just has nothing left because of how exhausted he was. Even baffert said it multiple timest
