About me/racing interests:
I am a Chicagoan who loves to follow and write about horse racing. In addition to writing my own blog at blinkers-off.com, I am also a co-author of Picks and Ponderings at ChicagoNow, and the Illinois racing analyst at shapperdacapper.com.

How did I get into racing?
That's a long story...which I covered in the first longer-form piece I ever wrote about horse racing: http://www.danonymousracing.com/love-game-written-nicolle-neullist/

Favorite racing moment?
It doesn't get any better than Palace Malice re-rallying to win the 2014 Gulfstream Park Handicap. I had questioned him going at a mile versus a longer distance, and it looked like he was being put away coming into the stretch, but he proved once and for all that he has more fight in him than you could ever reasonably expect. Seeing my favourite horse do that...that is why racing is so compelling.
