I honestly never thought I'd find a turf horse That would rival my love for Goldikova. I couldn't have been more wrong. Tepin is easily my favorite horse in training on any surface right now, and will defiantly continue to be among my favorites once she is done racing. I can't hardly wait for the BC, and I especially can't wait for Dubai.
She speaks for her self. What a mare!
Does it 'seriously' matter if she wins HOTY at all?
She is an incredible mare, who has done nothing wrong this year.
You are so right. I am so glad you felt such need to degrade one of the two consistent horses, that have actually beat legitimate competition this year in the US & outside.
She totally should have stayed home and run in New York where she should have beat the same horses she has consistently beaten time and time again here in the states, rather than actually you know, show she really is one of the best by traveling over seas. The popularity contest joke of a competition that horse of the year has become, is FAR more important.
Let us continue to applaud the horses that do continually run safe schedules, and travel only when they are assured they will win, because that makes a true champion!
Lets continue Praising the horses that run only in their comfort zones , but win the titles (Because that is the important thing, remember!) THEN lets continue to complain about how much horse racing is failing because that is the fun thing to do.Why would we actually give praise to a horse whose connections have shown true sportmanship?
So much is being made of Tepin's over seas trip taking SO much out of her.
I fail to see why.
Yes, the trip likely took at bit out of her - her first couple works back, were pretty meh'
But folks, it's been three months, and she is working like a monster again, she looks better -at least in my opinion- than she did heading over there.
My two favorite (as of of now) 2 yr olds won today. Bring on the BC Juvie.
Maybe not the most impressive of races, but I am glad this guy won.
Klimt /Straight fire /Midnight pleasure
He ran really well today. Mubtaahij will continue to be my win pick from the McLaughlin Barn. Frosted fails once again to win me over.
I'll happily take Practical joke at the likely long odds he'll be. Bitumen haven't impressed me as much as he seems to impressed every one else. I expect he will be in the money though.
Practical joke/ classical empire/ bitumen
