Unfortunately, I think she is done
Just imagine what would have happened had they given up on her, after her fairly sub-par 3 year old campaign.
I am thankful they did not. They do plan to continue racing her next year as well, correct (assuming/ and praying she stays healthy) ?
YES, YES, YES. I freakin love this horse.
What a truely special animal she is
I never said it was boring, merely that I found this years to be more exciting. The Belmont was over last year at the turn home.
It's personal preference.
I know why so many liked last years triple better, and I can acknowledge that AP was a very good horse,
But none of those races will ever go down as my personal favorites.
To each their own.
He was a special horse, there was no doubt about that. However, other than the fact there was a triple crown involved, I honestly didn't find it all that thrilling. I know I am the odd one out here.
I know personally, (And yes, I will receive a LOT of slack.hate for this ) I enjoyed watching this years triple crown series, more than last years. -gasp- While I was never a huge fan of AP in general -gasp again- I will admit he was defiantly heads and tails better than this years crop/and last years. In that lies the problem. He did exactly what he was suppose to do. There was no challenge, no nail biting anticipation. A triple crown is exciting .. but I prefer to have a little bit of a challenge.
That what I love to see, a very exciting race!
Kudos to creator (got to see him at oakkawn, so I am keen on him)
I have to say though, I think Destin ran a better race, had Gettysburg not been in the race, Destin would have been the winner.
Very oddly run race by him, but good win none the less
One of the few races today where I'll go with a long shot.
Lady Lara/ Lexie Lou/ prize exhibit
The horses don't know the odds- does it really matter?
