Artax is one of my all time favorites. I will never forget that Breeders' Cup Day in 1999. I was standing on a garbage can when he looked me straight in the eye as if to say, "what are you doing up here on my level?"..and in that moment our hearts connected as if there were no crowd around us at all. I will see you in the big sky my beautiful friend. Fly free.

It was the Breeders' Cup Mile in 1997 when I first saw you. You didn't win the race that day, but you won my heart.
Sweetest Chant was a big beautiful mare, full of fire, who literally swept me off my feet. I have the greatest memories of her at the Bolero barn; and am proud to have had the honor of being her personal hotwalker in 1982.
