Everybody seems to forget that for Orb and Oxbow this will be their 3rd race in just a little over 5 weeks. Oxbow will have plenty of company in this race so stealing it won't happen. I look for him to fade into the sunset at the top of the stretch. Orb is one that has a chance but hence the 3rd start in 5 weeks. It will show for both horses in the Belmont. My pick is Revolutionary, and Golden Soul Should get a piece of this race also.
JayS. Good luck to you for the Belmont with Oxbow, but Like I saud I will be using fresh horse for the belmont. If Oxbow were to have any chance he would have to be off the pace a bit, but I don't see that. He is a front runner and I see him fading as they turn for home. If I,m wrong I am good with that. Good luck Saturday!
Oxbow, like Orb will be running their 3rd race in 5 weeks. Neithier win the Belmont. Oxbow was handed the Preakness on a platter, plus I don't think he lasts 1-1/2. There are to many fresher horses competing. I think Revolutionay is the winner myself!
I"ll tip my hat off if Oxbow can wire the field. I just don't see it happening. The fractions will have to be turtle slow if he is to win on the front end at a 1- 1/2. Don't think they will let him go slow for 3/4 of the race. If they do he has a shot. But I really don't think Oxbow or Orb win. 3rd tme in 7 weeks for both. It does take alot out of them. Revolutionary has been training since the KD. and very well rested. Also some others!
The preakness was a better distance for Oxbow then the KD, plus he had the one spot at churchill. But I will not be using him or any other horse for that matter, Orb included to finish in the top 3 spots at the Belmont. Horses that have raced in both are going to be at a huge dis advantage going into the Belmont. They have raced twice in the last month and it will show come belmont. Also Oxbow in my opinion cannot go 1-1/2. especially on the front end. So all that have raced in both the KD and Preakness are pitches for me. There will be some well rested ones that will do better in this race!
I agree on Orb but not the other horses Brian talks about in this race. My other I think have a chance are Governor Charlie and second start off a layoff Will Take Charge.
Golden Soul will be no further impact on the preakness nor belmont stakes. Will not even be in the money if he races in either. Simply ran well on the mud where he did well. Inside posts were golden when everyone on the outside was bying for the lead. Golden Soul was a victum of track conditions where it helped him to a second place finish in the KD. There will be no further impact on the last two remaining triple crown races from him. He has had his day in the sun!
I credit JV also for not falling off and being able to get her to 4th at the finish. She almost got 3rd. Any other horse being slammed not just once but twice would have finished last!
Nice hit on the #6 ruffian!
Black Onyx owner is a piece of work. He waited until it was to late for another horse to take his place. They were just pissed they got the 1 hole. Nothing wrong with him other than that. That showed true sportsmanship!
