In seven BC Classics at Churchill only 5 horses at odds 5-1 or under have run equal to or better than their odds rank (15, 75%, ran worse than their odds rank!). The 5 horses that did run to their expectations produced 4 wins. The other 3 winners came from horses at odds from 6-1 to 10-1. Nine of 15 horses 6-1 to 10-1 outran their odds! 32 of 45 Horses over 10-1 outran their odds, but only produced 1 second and 4 thirds
Good luck to all. It is going to be a race to remember.
Bob, Bob, Bob, Bob, Bob....The quacking is coming from the East. West Coast horses routinely ship East and kick butt. Zenyatta had no problem at Oaklawn and will crush again in the Classic (once again beating the best horses in the world - that includes the East Coast, Mid-West, Canada & other countries).. Lookin At Lucky did okay in the Haskell he's from the West Coast in case you didn't know. Where were the East Coast monsters at Oaklawn? We recognize great horses here. Spectacular Bid, Skip Away, we loved them and many thought Quality Road could be a major threat to Queen Z. We have West Coast experts who voted for Rachel Alexander for HOY. Maybe you should start an East Coast Championship (sorry Canterbury already has the Claiming Crown).. Seems to me West Coast horses perform well in all the major races in the US and seems we crush in Dubai also, which I'm sure costs you money, thus causing your irrational opinions.
I'm curious what running style stats you were using. According to Brisnet 52 of 114 races at 5.5 furlongs were won by E (Brohamer) (rabbits- pacepals), so, he had the right style. I don't know your feeling about post stats, but the outside is the place to bet at Prairie, although the #9 post at the current meet 1-for-19...which most people don't believe that the #9 can be 1-for-19 and the #10 3-13. The #10 post has an edge...obviously the more races the better. Were you referring to the # of rabbits in the race?
8-26 del mar...had head turned and held by starter at the break...should have been declared a non-starter. Throw the race out, much better than looked.
