Heads up, WTC vs Palice the record is 2 to 2 right? WTC shows up every race while PM has been overall less consistent but when he is on, he is absolutely the best. I'm just really looking forward to the Summer races to see it all go down.
He's a six year old though but in any case definitely transitioning into a contender. Not sure he can make 1 1/4 miles though
I never really liked Saez on WTC, I felt like he waited too long to fire and it cost him the breeders cup but Gary is even worse. He keeps him way too far back and expects a Zenyatta like run, that isn't WTC's style
He has yet to go against GOD, WTC, MMM, or any of the great three year olds this year. Can we hold off on crowning this horse as the best on Earth? He is not invincible
Was Sarava in a different post for his Belmont win? He was the #12 and off the top of my head I don't remember any scratches that day.
I like what I'm reading about Curve from the posts here. Made me go back and realize that he ran into a huge headwind and a dead pace to pick up 2nd, that's an amazing feat. Obviously the question would be can he make the distance but he may be the best chance of a closer. ROC may have it but he will need an excellent ride, he hit a wall in the final 200 yards of the Preakness and couldn't close on Chrome. Then again, people need to see that Chrome's time was the fastest in 7 years so that puts ROC's run into perspective. As it stands, the two CCs, ROC, and Kid Cruz in a Super Box.
So sick of hearing the Peter Pan winner being a force in the belmont. But let them bet him down, pick up a nicer priced second place finisher in the trifectas
The 11-1 at Pimlico for KC was based on his familiarity with the track, bettors flocked to homefield advantage there. The same won't happen in the Belmont. 60-1 may be too high but let's say about 40-1. I'm basically grouping him with Belmont placers like Nolan's Cat and Incognito from the past few years. Those two in particular had no reason for placing based on talent, Belmont just allows for those crazy situations to develop. KC by Lemon Drop Kid is just another reason to look at him.
Like the write-up, got to say watch out for those garbage horses like Kid Cruz, he will be like 60-1 with the impending 2-5 Chrome. By Lemon Drop Kid, you can't rule out the pedigree to ruin a trifecta or superfecta.
Glad Borel is off, that derby run was bad. ROC isn't a MTB type, he isn't a dead closer. If he had him nearer to Commanding Curve, this horse probably gets 2nd or 3rd.
