Laura, with all due respect, are you familiar with how figures are computed? That a racetrack can speed up or slow down dramatically on a daily, if not hourly basis? That comparing final times from different days is a terrible idea?
Indian Blessing's consistency as a 2 and 3YO won me over and it was great to see her go out a winner
Yawn...they ought to televise Zenyatta's next race on C-Span because her racing campaign is as interesting as the normal programming on that network.
Is there any way Shug's staff could kidnap Zenyatta and bring her to the east coast?
If by barely held off you mean dismissed when confronted then yes, he barely held him off. Prior to the Derby he was among one of the favorites, that's why there's such fanfare about Quality Road.
Pioneerof the Nile? Uh, ok.Mine That Bird? You mean to tell me that the fleet-footed Mine That Bird has a better chance at Monmouth than Summer Bird? They have a very similar running style and Summer Bird was much more interested early with the addition of blinkers in the Belmont.Dunkirk? The horse who he's beaten handily twice...not so muchMusket Man? Game performer but 3rd place finishes don't get you into the conversation. The whole point of my original comment was because you said Summer Bird going for the Eclipse Award was a joke. He is ahead of everyone you listed with the exception of Mine That Bird and Rachel Alexandra and no one is ahead of those two. He has a great deal of potential, without question.
Why isn't Summer Bird going for the Eclipse Award? And what has Musket Man done for you to say unequivocally that he'll pound Summer Bird? Summer Bird is much more of a player for the Eclipse Award than Musket Man right now. I also don't know why they'll run him in the (Un)Super Derby given that it's only three weeks after the Travers. No reason to bring the horse back that quickly and have such a big gap to the BC.
Thanks...'twas a tough card at Belmont to make a pick for given the weather situation. Luckily Victory March was ready to go and James Jerkens' record on dirt over the last few years is much better than it is on turf!
Gozzip Girl has turned into a nice little horse and will be very tough if sent west to the American Oaks. She's versatile in terms of running style and definitely doesn't need to take her course with her.
She wasn't much the best but good enough to score and pay $10.20.
