MOD this week for the Delta Princess at Delta Downs on November 22nd and later this month will nominate her to the Golden Rod Stakes at Churchill Downs on November 29th. The third choice is a stakes race at One mile at Gulfstream Park on November 29th.
Coming around the grandstand turn at Keeneland. You cannot even see her blaze on her face. She is the third horse from the right. With her jockey Juan Leyva in the light blue and platinum silks. At this point everyone serged. She finished 5th 4 lengths off the winner.
I am so proud of my team for such a gallant effort. She is only two. She has a great future in front of her. She will learn a great deal from this race. But her drive, heart, and passion for what she does shined through today.
I want to personally thank Juan for a great ride and always keeping our horses safe. Bill Kaplan, our trainer and Adam Lazarus, our managing partner for their amazing care and integrity they put into our horses. Also Jack Hendricks and Roger Justice two of our other great partners for always believing in her.
And Donna, thank you for sending me pictures and video's to warm my heart and reassure me she is happy. That filly loves you.
I am so proud to be part of such an amazing partnership. Where our horses always come first.
Two out of three of Naval Commands victories have been in the slop. Rain will not bother her. Very excited.
I am so excited. I have so much faith in this talented filly. I cannot wait to see her run. Tried so hard to make arrangements to be there however ran into some challenges. But will be watching from Gulfstream cheering her on. Godspeed sweet filly. Safe journey and safe run for all in the race. Get um hot stuff!!
Possible for turf stakes on October 4, 2014 at Gulfstream Park.
Kaplan-trained Moment of Delight breezed five furlongs in 59 4/5 Saturday for a scheduled start in the $350,000 My Dear Girl, the final leg of the Florida Sire Stakes at Gulfstream on Oct. 4. The daughter of A.P. Warrior, who broke her maiden on Aug. 16 by 4 ½ lengths, finish second, a nose behind Holywell, in the $250,000 Susan’s Girl on Sept. 6.

Naval Command, My Point Exactly Could be Headed to Keeneland
Trainer Bill Kaplan reports that upcoming Grade 1 stakes at Keeneland could be in the future of 2-year-olds Naval Command and My Point Exactly, both of whom won stakes at Louisiana Downs last weekend.
Naval Command, who won two of her first three starts at Gulfstream, won the $75,000 Happy Ticket and My Point Exactly, who broke his maiden at Gulfstream last month, won the $75,000 Sunday Silence. Both races were a mile on the turf and both horses were ridden by Juan Leyva.
“Both came out great and I guess they could both possibly run at Keeneland the first weekend in October,” said Kaplan, referring to the Oct. 3 Alcibiades (G1) for Naval Command and the Oct. 4 Breeders' Futurity (G1) for My Point Exactly.
Kaplan said the decision to ship Naval Command and My Point Exactly to Louisiana was because stablemate and 3-year-old East Hall was shipping for the Super Derby (G2). East Hall finished sixth after racing in tight quarters and getting steadied. “The truth is we ran on the turf because neither horse was eligible for the Sire Stakes (run Saturday at Gulfstream) and we wanted to try the turf,” Kaplan said.
Kaplan nearly pulled off quite a stakes hat trick Saturday when Moment of Delight finished second by a nose in Gulfstream's $250,000 Susan's Girl of the Sire Stakes.
Please do elaborate on such a reply?
I love and adore this filly. She gets lots of carrots this week! Without saying too much i know she is going places. We should know more in two weeks. She's all heart. But she has so much speed and talent. She keeps getting better and better.
So proud to be part of this team. Pure integrity.
