cocoa2 - " My point, obviously poorly made, is that there should be a 0 tolerance thing on getting hurt. " That is what I am asking about. 0 means 0 so you are saying one injury and htat's it? By the way, AK's injuries are unrelated though near each other. If he comes ot of it in top shape - meaning he runs at least as well as before then he continues. Otherwise he is retired. I don't see that as a bad thing.
cocoa, so if a horse ever gets injured it should be automatic retirement? That would definitely change the cost/valuation structure at the auctions and in the claiming biz.
Except it's not a recurring injury.
Very sad.
scratched in the F of Y.
I'm with icy on this one. If DD is over 2/1, and he should be then he's the choice. Should get a nice easy trip up front and take it home.
Anyone else notice how huge (both tall and thick) he looked compared to the other horses in the field. What a brilliant horse!! Great job by Graham Motion bringing him back in such magnificent shape.
As one who expected AK to go off 1-5 I loved betting him at 3-5 against that field. Though I understand trying to beat the favorite.
I'm betting a lot of mea culpas will be due in a month and change. Graham is no fool.
