OK, fair enough, sorry for the mistaken identity. I'm so glad you're a Zenyatta lover too!
Bernie is ranked #272? I'm sure if they were only polling mares, he would be ranked #1!
Is this the same "Mary" who when Bloodhorse had a poll of the top female performers, couldn't even put Zenyatta in the top 20? Yeah, you have "great" judgement . . .
They better hope Zenyatta doesn't get wind of all this, she could beat up all three of them.
Rachel is a hussy. She's turning this into a soap opera, "As the Clubhous Turns"
This is a good sign. I want Hollyoood to stay open for ever. It is a safe race track with a lot of history. Giving these dates to Santa Anita would result in more breakdowns.
I think Zenyatta was the best female horse ever, that's just MY opinion. Some think Ruffian was the best, I respect their opinion. One could ask who was a better baseball player, Babe Ruth or Hank Aaron? If you answered either, that's OK but we'll never know for sure because they came from different eras. One thing I don't like about Zenyatta's critics, "She raced almost all of her races on synthetics" Thank goodness, Report after report keeps coming out that synthetic tracks are twice as safe as dirt tracks. I thank the owners and trainer for keeping her safe. And she never suffered even a minor injury in 3 years of racing.
Wow, I cried that day when Ruffian met tradegy, but the fact that Foolish Pleasure was IN the matchrace should be a reason for respect. I was rooting for Ruffian, but I don't know for sure who would have won. I try to be objective. One thing to take into consideration is that Foolish Pleasure was keeping up with Ruffian, something that no other horse she ran against could do.
Im having a problem figuring out why you have a problem with this. Unless there's a dead heat, there can only be ONE winner of a race. Foolish Pleasure's nose crossed the finish line first. The winner is decided at the finish line. Why is this so hard to understand? I think Zenyatta is one of the greatest horses ever, certainly the greatest filly or mare ever BECAUSE OF WHAT SHE ACCOMPLISHED AND THE GREAT HORSES SHE BEAT. But I don't claim "WELL SHE GOT HER NOSE IN FRONT A STRIDE AFTER THE FINISH LINE THEREFORE SHE SHOULD BE DECLARED THE WINNER!"
