Too bad for the boy...I am rooting for Whiskey Romeo! In a few minutes we will see him beat Clawback in the Cappy at Aqueduct.
Definitely Oxbow, but I like Whiskey Romeo, High Five Again and Revolutionary. It is so early so a couple of these are long shots.
I like Whiskey Romeo, Oxbow, High Five Again, and Revolutionary to start. I wish the game Road to the Roses was on again this year.
Yes it was and the article was great but it was disappointing thats all.
Also I have to say that I was disappointed as well as other Shackleford fans to not see him on the cover of Bloodhorse last week. Really, Stay Thirsty? What has he done this year besides the Cigar? To put Shack 2nd in that issue was wrong! He deserved the cover. I was waiting for it so i could frame it and then bam!
If this award is contingent on racing quality and fan adoration I have to say that Shackleford is the most deserving of them all. Not only at the top in 2011 and taking his fans to another level, he came back in 2012 with the top Beyer speed to date in the Met Mile and one of the most exciting races of the year. Add on the Clark he is a shoe in!
Thank you for writing a great article that Shackleford fans will love. You are right we adore him. He has the courage and talent you speak of and that is why he will prevail on Saturday. I love that you say He has "the muscle of a hall of fame boxer, the face of a model and the heart of a champion". Shackleford is going to hang on to be the best on Saturday.
That is absolutely the right choice. Congrats to Dullahan, Dale Romans and the connections!
I agree completely. Nver looked comfortable
