Like your rankings, especially towards the top. No live longshot love for Vicar's in Trouble? I agree his trip in the LA Derby was perfect but I can't move him outside my top 12 for some reason.
Good question Sally. He's not descending but not ascending any more than last time I wrote about him. He's in good shape, made a nice move in the SA Derby and should be ready come Derby day.
Have always been a fan of Larry Jones, would love to see him send Albanobut would still to CD for a shot at the roses. Might not have the best odds to accomplish it like to see him as one of the 20 starters
Mexikoma is off the trail. Couldn't recover from the lung infection and missed too much valuable training time. Instead, Mexikoma is pointed towards the Peter Pan
Since Lukas won his 4th with Charismatic in ’99 there have only been 2 trainers that scored for a second time or more. (Baffert ’02, Nafzger ’06). That’s 12 first time winners in the last 14 years. Wow.
Trainer Mark Casse, Conquest Titan will enter the Arkansas Derby
Drayton.nay - good point because yes, he is on the rise. 10 points with a chance to qualify next time out. We'll see then just how good he is or can be
Cairo Prince closed at 13-1 after opening at 8-1. If you like him and If (and I do mean if) he wins the Fla Derby i'd say a play on him in Pool 2 was a good investment because there's no way you'll get him that high on derby day.
Didn't mention it but in case anyone is interested in a different kind of daily double, the puck drops with Blackhawks @ Canadians about 90 minutes after the Sham
If it ain't Ria A in '14 I still think the next Filly that wins is on the nearby horizon. Between the brilliant careers of Rachel, Rags, Zenyatta, etc. I think a filly keeps the momentum going because its bound to happen soon
