Good Orb reference. He made up so much ground between 3/4 and 1 mile and that's what I don't see Gunnevera being able to do. I think he will need to be racing much closer, mid pack for him to have a chance.
Classic Empire is pretty well set on points, safe to consider him qualified. He also just returned to work on 3/12 from Palm Meadows Training Center: 4F 48.95 - Breezing
Thanks! Cool to see them back in business with another hopeful
No one pops out at me either but it's still too early to tell. Not This Time (same connections and sire as Brody's Cause) may be one to keep an eye on.
Thank you and I agree. It's Nyquist's race to lose
I believe you're referring to the Breeders Futurity-G1 at Keeneland prior to the BC Juvenile? 2 great races but both at KEE. Exaggerator's debut at CD will be the Kentucky Derby.
Correct International Star was #1 with 171 followed by Dortmund 170, Carpe Diem 164, American Pharoah 160
Thank you for reading, glad you enjoyed the article
I agree all the way around, Scoggs and yeah, it's highly unlikely that Uncle Walter will be let out of the gate at odds of 6-1. Sure looks like an ideal place to make a statement on the KyDerby trail so i'm really looking forward to seeing how he does.
Great point, Kent D was up for this team with Dullahan and Paddy O'Prado so he must've known something. I think Dale Romans knew that he'd be racing on Saturday long before TP confirmed it.
