He's yet to close sufficiently fast to impress me as a Classics distance runner. His Sham had fast esarly fractions, but his last quarter there was :26.2, not exactly encouraging. And when you add the fact that Krigger hit him 20 times at least in the last eighth of a mile to hold him to his task, I'm not buying any futures tickets on this guy!
Would like to see you analysis of Nick Zito's Mountain Eagle, the Birdstone colt out of a Gultch mare that won his MSW 2nd out at GP last month, and came back working in fine style, Laurie!
Delhomme is vacationing, but should be due to hit the work tabs soon. I don't think a Dixie Union is going to get 10f, but he should be one to make playing Pletcher runners rewarding on the chase.
Been working sharp on the Gulfstream track this month, and Romans is pointing him to the Holy Bull Stakes, the next of the point qualifiers.
Hmmm...to finsih that thought, Gulfport's dam may who was out of Spinning World may prove to be a limiting distance factor on this Unbridled's Song colt
Gulfport is very promising but coming out of Dream Supreme, the Seeking the Gold mare who did her $1 million dollars in ourse earnings sprinting 5&1/2 tp 7f distances, though a multi-stakes winner
Excellant write up, as always Laura. Bern Identity was a solid wager for the win, but was surprised that he didn't flash his speed early here. Showed signs of early maturirty sitting behind the speed duel up front.
