I think Shackleford is the real deal and I just hope he runs in the Belmont to prove it!

I alway said that the Ky Derby winner is generally not the best horse and the best horse usually wins the Preakness.

Coastal over Spectacular Bid? Birdstone over Smarty? Rags to Riches better than Curlin? Go and better than Unbridled? Sure about that comment? The list of upsets in the Belmont is epic.

The best horse wins the marathon Belmont. As the saying goes- The derby is a circus, The Preakness is a carnival, The Belmont is a horse race.

The Belmont is the true classic distance and yes TimSmith Drosselmeyer is a better horse than Lookin at lucky and Da'Tara did beat Big Brown but for you thats par.LMAO

Better at that distance obviously, I should refrain that statement. The better horse at that distance. Winning Colors won the derby, but could not match Risen Star in the Preakness or Belmont.
