But the Saratoga Special at least shows, granted against a weak field, that he can win at Saratoga and on a fast track. I don't think Exaggerator would forget how to win if he's already done it.
Then why did he win the SARATOGA special, and why is he running in the Travers?
Exaggerator won the Saratoga Special on a fast track. Finished Second to Nyquist in the San Vicente on a fast track (not running his preferred running style). He even broke his maiden on a fast track.
Lani is out of his ever-loving mind. I know the original plan was to run him in the Jim Dandy. And how is the Haskell easier than the Jim Dandy (besides the off track)? The Haskell had the Kentucky Derby winner, The Kentucky Derby third place finisher, American Freedom who's a good horse in his own right. The Jim Dandy had Mohaymen who hasn't been the same since the Florida Derby, Destin and Creator who both ran one heck of a Belmont (yes they beat exaggerator in that race, but they didn't run in the Preakness...they rested up) And they all lost to a horse that hadn't won a race prior! So don't tell me the Haskell was the easier race.
Okay, wonderful. The 11th for Exaggerator in the Belmont was due to exhaustion of the triple crown. Exaggerator is winning the races that are out there. He has no control over the weather. If he wins, given what is put in front of him, you can't knock him for that.
First I've heard of it.
Indeed we will.
As far as breeding op, it looks better on a resume if he runs (wins) the JCGC than the Woodward
Did you bother looking at her race results before posting this comment?
So, they only care about the money part of the time...since the purse for the JCGC is bigger than the Woodward.
