I guess they might have performed emergency surgery on her and saved her (to let you in on it, she buckled down after her race at saratoga on 8/6 and slammed into the rail, severely ripping her skin, and she had to be taken off by equine ambulance)
I was wondering, Who would win in a race between Om, Upset and Onion?
If Daredevil does not run in the Kentucky Derby, Todd Pletcher will have trained 3 straight Champagne Stakes winners, all missing the Kentucky Derby. And the win in that race could seem deceiving because Upstart, the runner-up, is headed for Louisville, after a decent 3 year old season.
All she ever does is lead. If Take Charge Brandi continues to dominate, she'll become champion 3 year old of 2015, and perhaps the best filly DW Lukas has had in years, but she ends up like Althea in the 1984 Kentucky Derby and Will Take Charge can't find a girlfriend at stud, knowing both their running styles, she'll end up being his rabbit (like Better Talk Now and Shake The Bank) to tire herself and everyone chasing her so WTC can pick up the pieces.
Me too. I was thinking about heading there next year or the year after, which by the way, Funny Cide also resides there.
I believe Game On Dude was the last active past Triple Crown runner from the Super Saver-Lookin' At Lucky crop. Could be wrong though...
Splashtastic - Tom Durkin.
Since curlin was horse of the year in 2008, the last 5 horses of the year were a 3yo filly (Rachel Alexandra) a 6yo mare (zenyatta) an older filly (havre de grace) and this horse on 2 occasions. The classic division is in a bit of a slump. I think wise dan would do well on dirt, though.
Getting dirt kicked into you is a minor issue compared to fracturing a seasmoid bone or slamming into another horse. It is simply an obstacle of being a closer, which is what he is. I would be unused to seeing him race at the front, similar to Flat Out.
