Likin Sparks, What do you mean by "tragic endings?" I haven't heard of any fatalities this year.
Excuse me, the Qatar Prix De La Foret
She is scheduled to race in the Arc D Triomphe. I just changed it back to active.
I can't believe Golden Man is still racing, unless he's retired and it has not been posted. When he was a three year old, he ran on a Saturday against Park Avenue Ball and then the following day against Sun King. That's amazing!!!!! Perhaps other horses should do that too one every while. He ran in the money in both starts.
This is a grade III winner. I don't think he's better than Funny Cide. A horse can't deserve greatness just because his son (in this case Smarty Jones) almost won the Triple Crown. Elusive Quality should have won a grade II or higher to be where he is.
Q: If you were the Derby odds maker what would your line look like? A: 1. Pants On Fire (20-1) 2. Animal Kingdom (20-1) 3. Toby's Corner (15-1) 4. Nehro (6-1) 5. Master Of Hounds (30-1) 6. Soldat (12-1) 7. Shackleford (50-1) 8. Dance City (30-1) 9. Mucho Macho Man (12-1) 10. Dialed In (4-5) 11. Archarcharch (8-1) 12. Midnight Interlude (15-1) 13. Anthony's Cross (30-1) 14. Uncle Mo (6-1) 15. Decisive Moment (50-1) 16. Comma To The Top (30-1) 17. Watch Me Go (50-1) 18. Stay Thirsty (30-1)
I wish Funny Cide had won this race. The replays are interesting to watch
It's too bad. I was seriously hoping that we would have a showdown between Zenyatta and Rachel. There are several great match-ups we could have seen over the years, like Curlin vs Big Brown in the 2008 BC Classic, Barbaro vs Invasor, Ghostzapper vs Afleet Alex, Funny Cide vs Empire Maker in the 2003 Travers. It's bad enough that we haven't had a Triple Crown winner in the last 32 years, but can we at least have an outstanding head-to-head rivalry?
"You can take this to the bank, Zenyatta will not show up for the Breeders Cup." Let me ask you something, Bob46, if the Breeders Cup had existed in 1920 or 1973, would anyone be guaranteeing that Man o War and/or Secretariat is not good enough to run in the Breeders Cup races?
I can see three of his sons are running in the Travers, Afleet Express, Afleet Again and Admiral Alex. Good Luck! This horse had to miss the Travers when he was 3, but maybe he'll be the sire of a Travers winner
