I wonder why they stopped the mutual fields. I loved them. they need to bring them back with, say, the 6 longest shots. Canonero II comes to mind.
Like his daddy.
Seems to me Materiality's win was in the gutsy catagory.
The record reminds me of Curlin. He came in with the same and finished 3rd. We all know where he went after that. One of the gamest horse out there.
I remember seeing his entry in the sales catalog. I was very impressed with the breeding. I don't remember if he had his name yet. This article reminded me of that. His performance this past Saturday put him near, not on, the top of my Derby list. We still have a few more, very telling, preps yet.
He might hit the board at the lower end, sy, 4th. Unless, he gets real lucky. As we all know, luck plays a big part in those huge Derby fields. Look at Mine That Bird for instance.
Whichell TB's fearsome twosome is back! Untapable and her boyfriend, Tapiture. I can't wait to see them run again. It's a shame they have the same sire. They would have made an awesome foal together.
This put a tear and a smile on my face. IMO Seabuscuit is the bestest hoss ever. Pardon the quote of Will Harbut, Man O Wars groom.
I met chris cooper, Tom Smith in the movie, this past fall when he played another part in a different movie,. I was a crew member. I wanted a pic of us together. My hubby called him Chris, I hollered "Tom Smith". That got his attention quicker than his real name.He couldn't stop grinning, That made my day, I'ma telling you.
I wanted to share the pic but it was larger than 2mbs. Boo sorry
Toasting Master, Carpe Diem, Lord Nelson
