This has been a classic case of over reaction. Guy was wrong but had a point. Sure we are supposed to make nice when we lose but it's not a crime to be bitter. It's 3 group 1 races not a tournament. Cirrus des Aigles just won 3 in 6 weeks. It's a notable achievement but not the focus on it is just a narrative after the Derby.
apologies for it's its error.
It does seem perverse that Keeneland would let it's choice of track be decided by an early season classic trial - grade 1 accepted. Not sure the venue is big enough for a Breeder's Cup albeit it is a lovely place.
Is Wicked Strong hanging fire at the top of the straight seems awkward. You could argue it means he has more to come or that he won't cope with CD.
that should be extra checking.
I'd have still been beaten by 2 mins without checking. Bows to Mary.
Lookin at Lucky? albeit he was 2nd fav in Preak to Super Saver.
Affirmed and Nijinsky in the top and bottom. Triple Crown winners.
well done I was down to working through wikis of KD winners. Has 5 more till Proud Clarion... Thanks Brian always good to remember them.
Ascot will cost (bring a suit). Arguably Longchamp more championship type races cadran (20F), arc (12F), l'abbeye (5F) & foret (7F) + Opera for Fillies 10F on same day at end of the season. However Ascot is 5 days (cost ~£300 just to get in all days) best day Tuesday. Sat at Longchamp is 4 or 5 Group 2s. A cheaper option for Ascot is British champions day but not fully developed yet but has seen some superb stuff like Cirrus 3 runs. Longchamp also can clash with JCGC/Awesome Again day else Shadwell/Spinster weekend -> when I attended those 2 weekends clashed with Arc. All good trips.
