Big day for all the horses in the Belmont Stakes, as they come out with the morning line odds, post postions, and how many horses will be running in The Belmont. Can't wait to be one of the 120,000+ in the crowd to hopefully witness history. Having California Chrome win the Belmont and be the first Triple Crown winner in 36 years. No excuse on the weather either as it is expected to Sunny and 80.
MNHorseGuy33 your absolutely right Comanding Curve and Ride on Curlin ran the races of their life in the Derby and Preakness but Victor was never in trouble in both races Victor had both measured and I also think CC had saved something for the Belmont. I think with nothing to hold back , your gonna see CC strut his stuff and win the Belmont and T.C. by 10+ lengths.
NO EXCUSES THIS TIME, you can't have an excuse for California Chrome when he crosses that finish line in first to win the triple crown for the first time in 36 years.
If he does go to the BC classic and wins then top 20, remember alot of good older horses this year.
Got to put him in top 50 easy, will be only the 12th Triple Crown winner and that would make seven wins in a row, if he doesn't retire as long as he wins the haskell and or travers he easily stays in the top 50 doesn't have to beat the older horses to prove his place in the top 50.
If he wins the belmont, I see him retiring, if not you might get to see him in the haskell and Travers
Easy Goer and Point Given are a coin flip for #1, both deserve it but i guess the coin flip went to easy goer. A great list!!!!!!!!!!
If he wins the TC, I think trhey would retire him only because horses are worth alot more after their racing career, especially with a career like California Chrome, if he doesn't retire, I can only see him running in two more races The Haskell and The Travers. But you never know because this years Breeder's Cup is at Santa Anita where CC obviously loves to run races at.
CC is a push-button horse, I've been saying it it for a while now and in the Derby, I was saying now, meaning Victor push the button he did and before you knew he was 5 lengths in front, gotta love those push button horses. The great Cigar my favorite horse of all time was the same way, Jerry Bailey would sit in third place unti the end of the final turn and push the button on Cigar and he was off and running.
What a great day it will be Belmont Stakes, with so many great stakes races that obviously concludes with the last Triple Crown in The Belmont Stakes and a chance to see the first Triple Crown winner in 36 years, Oh what a day it is going to be at Belmont. Can't wait to be there!!!!!!!!!!
