True mrsmaryzinke. Also if they have 4 or more grandfathers 4-5 generations back are they considered half siblings.
Great to see another filly gaining in the rankings! I feel like this new Female of all time record thing is really helping the fillies/mares to get a bit more recognition.

I can't remember what the video was called. But it was when Rachel and Zenyatta were both up for HOTY in 2009. These two people made some huge speech on how Zenyatta deserved it SO much more then Rachel because the BCC was a race set up for who should win HOTY. It was the one race to determine who won it..THEN for 2010 HOTY made another video on how they were wrong because they just wanted Zenyatta to win. They said how the BCC is really no factor in determining the winner etc. How pathetic..They disgust me. If I can find the video I will post it to this...
I think the kick back hit him at first. But the way he pulled off the come back you really can't blame it on the dirt. He came up from behind and adjusted well. It just wasn't enough to pull it off. Shack had a great kick just as AK came to his neck. It was like he shifted gears and was determined not to get passed by him.
Actually TB44. Compairing horses is all part of the sport. It IS the sport..So saying no more comparing horses unless they've raced together is near impossible because #1 thats all people do. #2 there are horses going into races together that HAVE never against one another, so you want us not to compair and whose going to win? Alright, lets all just not compair the Preakness contenders and just wing it..Ya..Makes sense? Compairing horses makes our sport. I don't want to sound rude but I am tired of hearing this no more compairing crap.
I personally feel that if Ruffian hadn't broken down and would have won this race, it would have been a huge monumental moment in racing. Don't get me wrong, it already is because it was a Filly against a Colt..and well the tragic outcome is one that nearly all race fans know of. But if she had indeed pulled of the win it would have not only been a step in the right direction for all racing, filly racing, but also for people in that day and age. I don't disagree with running her against F.P. because I know for a fact she had him. But I know theres great debate out there about the decision and am just curios on other people's thoughts?
Many have debated whether or not it was worth putting Ruffian in the match race. I would love to know peoples opinions on this.
It's a shame they did so. I feel like it set her back a bit, but that's just my opinion.
Filled out the rest of this horses pedigree. Not sure if she's "another Zenyatta" but shes shaping out nicely. Hope it goes well on the 11th.
