I wouldn't have thought the rail had odds nearly as bad as the Derby, what with field size. Point 3 is especially valid. There is a worry if he gets stuck back too far, though: Animal Kingdom couldn't catch Shackleford... If he gets upset it would seem likely to be a horse on the lead or near it, but I'm not a big fan of any of those horses, so......
That lush turf was just fine for Wise Dan ;-)
Oh, I would bet him again if I had a do over. I at least hoped he would do some running, though, even if he came up short of hitting the board.
Wow they even have similar Dosages... Where do you think he goes from here? Turf? Synth?
I am derfinitely thinking he is not. I was hoping he might be Dullahan 2.0, but it turned out he was more Dean's Kitten.
I don't know enough about the Churchill layout to answer that, but it turned out that Oxbow got away fast enough to swing over. He wasn't compromised; I was just lucky that he didn't factor... Not that it ended up mattering. :-)
Oh believe me... Not only because I had GS second and no Revolutionary third, but because Normandy Invasion could have held on (he was 4th by a head) for an even larger payout. I had NI in both slots.
Oh, and the lesson a la Goldencents and Verrazano is never listen to anybody. Ever.
