He looks like he's gotten more muscular
Very talented but I don't think he is "very talented" on dirt. He runs lights out on Poly but the AA didn't have his bolt to the lead
Almost every horse in the BCC has upside. SB has more upside than most but also has a downside, and to me his downside is a huge downside.
Weak competition, weight allowances and his massive drop in speed figures on the surface the BCC is on. Mainly the last one
a perfect record is pretty impressiv but the article should have pointed out one or two of his "flaws"
That's not it. In case you didn't know, I was all about Chrome for the Derby and he was Cal based. It has nothing to do with coasts. All of my top 5 Derby picks at the beginning of the year were California horses.
Not really. Before the 2010 BCC, when Z had a flawless record, it was easy to point out the flaws in her races. Just because you have a perfect record doesn't make you perfect. Several horses have been undefeated until they take the next step. This is SB's final test before I am a Believer. He is coming in with several chinks in his armor.
Her article was great and was an entertaining read but she could have pointed out a few of his weak points because he does have them.
It was facts, but they were presented in a biased way. You can make a ton of average horses sound amazing by presenting only the good things. She failed to mention the flaws in his performances.
I don't mind her article, she loves horse racing and his obviously very enthusiastic about seeing him try to make history. But it was not a detailed analysis of his pros and cons. It was far from embarrassing though.
Sad to see him retire. A rematch between him and The Grey Gatsby would have been pretty epic. I hope he becomes a great stallion though, his pedigree is amazing.
because an older guy would name is account HannahWTC
