He must be very valuable as a stallion prospect. He is Blue Blood through and through and is a rare horse in that he is unbelievably durable. In a racing state where horses break down after 2 or 3 starts, he ran 11 times in one year. And his thrilling performances as a multiple G1 winner and you have a great stallion. If he can reproduce the likes of himself he will be one heck of a sire
My week just got even worse… WTC, GoD, PoS all retired and Chrome finishes 6th… Last time I commented "Who is Next?" but i don't even wanna say it this time in case it happens...
He obviously was not himself. The race is a toss. Do you really think the real Chrome would get beat by Allowance horses?
What are the connections gonna do? A terrible performance. Do they have a plan B on how to get him ready?
Personally, I was more impressed with her than Untapable in the Cotilion. She went pretty wide on the turn and looked zig zaggy at the top of the stretch. Than Untapable veered out in front of her late stretch. But as soon as she veered around Untapable, her stride lengthened and she started to really close the gap but it was to late
Wow... Just wow. Everybody knows Game on Dude was well past his prime. Is Majestic Harbor potentially great as well? Because he ran by Dude effortlessly? Let me give you a tip, a lot of mediocre horses can run by really good horses in a 1 1/4 race if the really good horse ran the half in 45 and change!!
This year, several horses have run by the Dude this year. It doesn't make them great.
That is a surprise. I really thought he would stay retired this time. Happy to hear he's coming back though!!! He is one of my favorite jockeys
Goodbye Game on Dude. You were an amazing race horse and on your best day you were one tough son of a gun to beat. Of course my favorite moment of you on the track was your 3rd Santa Anita Handicap in Stakes record time 1:58.17! Enjoy your retirement. You gave us 4 years of wonderful races and ran your heart out. A true champion. You'll forever be remembered.
He may not catch Dude at 1 1/8. If Dude stayed around for a close 4th at 1 1/4 after blazing early fractions. If Dude runs as well as in the Pacific Classic and the pace is more sensible, SB better pray for some help.
