Has anyone heard any news on Unbridled Outlaw. Has him listed as active, but I dont think hes had a workout since the poor showing in the juvenile.
13 of the 15 dirt races the winner was withing 3 and a half lengths at every point of call, that is defiantely a bias. hard to expect a horse to make up 15 when no one has done that in 2 days. big diff making up 15 compared to making up 3
I always try and pick the winner of the following years Kentucky Derby before they run the breeders cup juvenile. I only hit it once (California Chrome). And got really good odds on him in the wynn futures. This year Im going with Unbridled Outlaw. His iroquois race was very impressive. wins it by daylight with a clean trip. Cant believe he is the 102 rated horse here right now. After the Juvenile tomorrow i expect a big jump. Good Luck to all.
Thats true, But with the trouble Unbridled Outlaw had. i believe he beats rated r superstar much worse than Brodys cause and exaggerator did. He was only 2 3/4 lengths back. In fact theres not a doubt in my mind. the replay speaks for itself.
Love seeing Mike Smith take the mount, That helps as well even though i like Lanerie..
This is a very good betting race. I think there are several horses with odds with a shot at the win. And after watching replays of the Iroquois at Churchill. im going with Unbridled Outlaw. He had to check twice, losing several lenghts the 1st time. I know the field wasnt the stongest. but I think he wins by daylight with a clean trip.
I may be wrong. I was once. lol. But American Pharoah doesnt scare me in the classic. I think he is a tired horse. I think Liams map will assure a much quicker pace than Pharoah faced the last time. And i think he will hook up with Liams Map or Beholder which was his undoing last time. You could see big balloons in the trifecta.
leave it alone, everyone said it couldnt be done, and it was done. its specail because its difficult.had california chrome won it last year. this years wouldnt have been a big deal. just like in the 70s. when secretariat did it the press and horse racing fan base went crazy. by the time affirmed did it 5 years later, it was like ho hum, another triple crown winner. and that one should have been more exciting because of the alydar rivalry. not to take nothing away from seattle slew and affifrmed's accomplishments they were both awesome. but why change it when its proven it can be done.
I live in Louisville and on yesterday mornings news they said that Baffert had indicated that if all went well yesterday they were thinking of running one more prep at Churchill Downs. Im hoping the fact they sent him back to Del Mar means those plans have changed. I would love to see him run here, but Zayat said after the race that Pharoah came out of it in good order but he is a very tired horse. I think to have him on his ''A Game" for the classic its best to rest him and hope he fires fresh.. I really think the quick turnaround from the Haskell has left him vulnerable and Baffert will have to do a yeomans job to have him on top of his game for the Classic. Honor Codes connections have to be excited. Theres gonna be much more speed in the Classic , and Frosted just showed everyone the recipe to beat him. But he was without a doubt tired. Give him 2 months rest and hopefully we see the real pharoah at keeneland for his farewell ride.
pharoah showed alot of heart today, I thought he was beat when frosted came up to him but he fought him off like champions do . But that being said.,he is a tired horse and Im sure Honor Code is licking his chops. The Classic is gonna have much more speed in it than the Travers, and thats not a good thing for a tired horse. I know he has 2 months to recover, but for the 1st time this year Pharoah looks vulnerable. I think the quick turnaround from the Haskell may have compromised his chances in the Classic. They should have waited for Churchill for his final prep, but at this point i think his best chance is to rest until the Breeders Cup and hope he fires fresh.
