Street Life=too slow. Maybe on the bottom of my tris/supers. That's about it.
SAGINAW shocks the racing world! Go Bobby Hack GO!!!
What if you disdain favorites? What if the morningline maker is terrible (most are)? I prefer to look for horses that are ranked low in the m/l relative to their actual chances of winning the race. In the case of this pick 3, Trend Spotter, #5 in the 12th, was moving to a barn that wins regularly with barn changes. The Pick 3 with him was paying $700 more than the m/l favorite, yet Trend Spotter opened @ 7/5, took major support throughout and went off as a strong second choice at 5/2. The $1 parlay paid about $240, the Pick 3 - $1042. TREMENDOUS value.
Second week in a rwo we lose the Pick 4 by a nose...this one paid $16K. The only good news is on-track live we wagered on the final pick 3 using 27/348/357 and when Bax of Life won paying a remarkable $34 (also bet to win) followed by Mach of Ballykeel and Trend Spotter, we nailed the late pick 3 to the tune of $1042! Agree! NO SHOT!
In your dreams
That was a tough call ;)
I can't believe people would cheer against this horse because he doesn't fit your pre-determined profile of what a TC winner should be. He ran down a loose front runner TWICE in a row. Do you have any idea how hard that is to do? This horse is better than Smarty Jones. Grab a clue.
If Bode and Hansen are both in The Preakness (likely at this point) who is to say that IHA won't get an even BETTER trip stalking closely in behind them. I'm not sold on bode yet - he hasn't proven that he can do either of withstand pace pressure and win and/or pass horses and win. I think IHA has a big shot to double up in the Preakness, likley as an overlay! Well done, as usual, Zipster.
The answer to all the "why not"s is this: Because he has NO shot. ZERO. ZIP. ZILCH. This horse will be searching for an oxygen tent after 7/8 of a mile. Do any of you TRULY believe he can finish any better than 15th? Really? C'mon.....get serious.
