Congrat's to Russell on his 12,000th win, I for one can say that he rode for my dad and myself and won a race for us at Santa Anita and am honored to be apart of his 12,000 winner's. Once again congrat's to the IRON MAN of THE SPORT OF KINGS.......... <\_~
Clubhouse Ride is ex-sharp right now and most likely he will be the one posing in the winner's circle after the FINAL GOLD CUP IS RUN AT HOLLYWOOD PARK, Game On Dude is good but putting the grandstand on his back will be his undoing because of how sharp Clubhouse Ride is currently. The weight spread will work to Clubhouse Ride's advantage and he will most likely be the winner of the FINAL GOLD CUP AT THE TRACK OF THE LAKES AND FLOWERS.
In this case this is not like the Ky. Dby. so therefore IMO post 1 is not a big deal, if the horse is good enough he will win, especially at 1 3/16th. Orb is coming into the Preakness like no other Derby winner has since Affirmed and Sat. will tell the story. I wish him and the connections well and may everyone in the race have a safe trip.
I really don't think it mattered where P.M. raced, whether on the lead or just off the pace etc... he just was not even going to hit the board IMO. No question M.S. did a great job of just not fighting P.M. and rode a masterful race considering the circumstance's.
We all have been here before after the Ky. Dby. and the T.C. talk, I think I'll to not want to jinx ORB and reserve my talk of T.C. until after the Belmont Stakes is run then savor the moment which is a long time in coming. With that being said, what a run ORB put in and looked just outstanding in winning, he just keeps improving and the way he was brought up to the Run For The Roses was just an awesome display of horsemanship by Shug M. and is looking real sweet for the Preakness, let's hope he stays healthy all throughout his journey to immortality, finger's crossed...............
Well there it is, the early Ky.Derby favorite Verrazano did-not race at 2 and no horse has won the Ky. Derby since 1882 having not raced at 2, that's 130yrs., so much for this yrs. early Ky. Derby favorite, time to find a new horse to put your $$$$$ on.
This year is one of the best fields I've seen in years, numerious horseshave a chance to win this year and most importantly alot of these fillies are just exuding talent and anyone of them can win and it would not be a surprise. My pick will be Midnight Lucky, Mr Baffert has a knack with these type of horses and I do believe we will be seeing something special on Ky. Oaks day
Thats what happens when a trainer gets too big for himself. Good move in replacing Motion before his head gets any bigger than it already is. Don't need and out of control trainer running your stable.
It's all Mr. Baffert and his expert eye in picking out these gifted runner's, on to Ky. Oaks next
Treasury Bill who was being touted by many as the Rebel winner and the needed distance was the reason why got TROUNCHED and finished 10the beaten by more than 10 lengths, so much for needing more distance. Can't wait to hear the excuses for his TROUNCHING. Overrated horse IMO
