Four days ago I posted a similar question with no response. My original comment asked: "Can somebody explain how Mucho Macho Man runs 6 lengths faster than Awersome Feather on the same day at the same distance, yet their Beyer figures are only 4 points apart (100 vs. 96)? At the same time, Holladay Road runs 2.5 lengths faster than Willa B Awesome on the same day at the same distance, yet there is a 11 point difference (98 vs. 87)."

Amen.
He didn't need a "feeway". Are you sure? All three 7f races were won wire to wire. $20k maiden claimers went low 1:09's. The Factor ran great, but SA was a freeway today.
Wow, now I feel bad about telling Joe on Saturday morning that there was a fan on Horse Racing Nation waiting to hear from him. I remember the post where you were still waiting and didn't see this post. He told me that he always replies, but sometimes the track mail is slow getting to them. I am glad that Joe wrote back.
Have you considered friending him on facebook?
I thought Taramind was live in the Ballerina, but didn't run as good as I thought. I think the Pistol is live this weekend, which means Taramind will win!
digidot, well her connections know she doesn't fit in the BC this year and are not pointing her there.
It was a nice win, but don't get too carried away thinking she can beat a real good field of elders and euros. WM got a 93 Beyer for the win.
I have to agree with the more realistic folks on this post. Motega’s latest 48 Beyer winning this minor restricted stakes race wouldn’t put her mid pack in a good MSW. For comparison, look at the top Beyers earned by two-year old fillies this year. http://www1.drf.com/drfLeaderBoard.do?category=beyer She is probably rated too high at this point.
