Sham, Landaluce, Chief's Crown, Holy Bull, Invasor, Go For Wand, I'll Have Abother, Bodemeister, those are the top of my mind... Tough decision
Sadly?? He beat one of the greatest horses of all time in one of the most exciting races ever ran...
Firstly: Lawyer Ron was a late developer, and despite the fact he ran some monster races as a 4yo, he was no match for Barbaro in 2006. And secondly, Bernardini was indeed a monster, but in the Classic he demontrated he lacked the heart of true champions. Nobody knows what would've happened in the Preakness, but it is my opinion that Barbaro was better than him. He may have gotten a perfect trip in the Derby, but running the fastest final 1/4m since Secretariat while his jockey was sitting motionless is nothing sort of ordinary
My favorites from Durkin are: "He's going to win by a collosal margin! Here its Smarty Jones...he wins the Preakness by a dozen lengths! He remains undefeated!.." and the Preakness of Big Brown: "No one's ever been CLOSE to Bog Brown!"
Juve Sprint: Hazardous. Marathon:Fame And Glory. Juvenile FT: Sky Lantern. Filly/Mare Turf: Ridasiyna. Ladies Classic: Awesome Feather. Juve Turf: Noble Tune. Filly/Mare Sprint: Groupie Doll. Dirt Mile: Fed Biz. Turf Sprint: Bridgetown. Juvenile: Power Broker. Turf: Point of Entry. Sprint: Coil. Mile: Wise Dan. Classic: Game On Dude
WOW...that sure was an impressive performance
Believe me...this horse is THE REAL DEAL. Have been a big fan of him since he competed against Boby Di Job in Maroñas. Actually, he is the only horse to hold two track records (1500 and 1600m) at that track
Her debut was unbelievable. Definitely a star in the making
entered on saturday's 8th race at BHP.
icyhotboo: in horse racing you never know.. bernardini was running far superior speed figures than invasor previous to the '06 classic, but he got beat at churchill.
