Oh, yeah, I’m very sorry for spelling the horse's name incorrectly; of course, it's Bernardini (I've noted that HRN folks can be a bit pedantic about spelling errors).

I read on ESPN that Barnardini is named for race car driver Patrick Bernardini; sire A.P. Indy is named for a track in Japan.

If we *must* compare one of the horses in the TBD to Red, I'd point to Java's War ... waaaaay back and came charging, a closer who, as several of you point out, may just love a few more panels. In addition, look again at how Java's War runs. Maybe I'm imagining it, but check out how he strides, throws his front legs up and out ... now that reminded me of Red. Why, I may have a new darling in JW; we shall see.

Oh, I love him ... it looks as if his ears are pinned back, all business.
