This horse could be something special..there was an extra gear at Cashcall, distance seemed to be no issue for this guy.
This horse looked great in the Delta, the more he runs, the more i like his potential for longer distance tracks..
I mean this horse is leaps and bounds better than Secret Circle, and he was a more recent horse who noticably couldn't handle longer distances. Bobby does have secretariat and affirmed in the bloodline too for what its worth
every year, everyone rips the top horse about distance. Union Rags got hammered on this site about not having a good pedigree for distance, but he always seemed to want more, and ended up winning the Belmont. I for one am going to support and believe in this horse until he proves otherwise.
Can i bet my trifecta of Bobby, Berne Identity, and He's Had Enough for the derby yet? :)
Anyone who thinks he was fading at the end of the BCJ didn't watch the race correctly. Also, please watch post race interview with his jockey, Napravnik..even she said, he still has some growing up to do and that he has a habit of slowing down voluntarily when there are no horses in front of him. She has said in other interviews they are working on training bobby to stalk the lead for a longer period of time to prevent this from happening at longer distances. Either way, this horse is BEAST.
This horse will be in the top 5 mix come the Derby in my opinion
Is it just me or is this horse eerily the second coming of IHA? For starters...same owner/trainer/jockey, along with the polarizing opposite name. But look at how he's finished his first 4 races..nearly identical to how IHA progressed as a 2 year old. If he races in Cashcall, look out!
I'm fairly sure they are concentrating on trying to save his life rather than worry about 'retiring' him. I'm pretty sure racing is an afterthought at this point
he does have an awesome name!
