Lived in Louisville most of my life. We finally decided to pack our bags and move to Florida. We are literally leaving at 4am on Saturday morning for good. :( I've been to about a dozen derbies and 3 breeders cups. Its a shame I'm gonna miss this BC. I'll miss this place. :(

I agree. It was a good race. I feel she may have made her move a bit late but no shame in getting beat by such a good horse.

People need to learn to not vote with their heart. I'm sorry but it was a good story and everyone was behind him hoping that he would pull through but as a racehorse he never got a chance to prove how good he really is. Thus, he should not be in the top 20. Plain and simple.

@Bigfoot: Mine that bird wasn't a fluke? After the triple crown he finished 3rd, 6th, 9th, 8th, 5th, 7th, and 10th. Get real. He was a garbage horse that managed to get a lucky win because of an exceptional ride. Zenyatta's one second place finish and big red's 5 non wins aren't at all comparable to MTB's mediocrity after the TC. And I'm not saying that AK is a fluke. All I'm saying is that this race proves nothing in either way. He COULD win the belmont and go on to have a great career, or he could self destruct like MTB. We'll have to wait and see.

Mine that Bird finished a game second in the Preakness too. And we all know he was a fluke. Being second proves nothing.
