I believe it was a park named Sunland out in New Mexico, tiny purses but sparked my inner 'racer'.

About me/racing interests:
I live on a pumpkin farm and have rescued many animals including horses, goats, cows, etc. My all time rescue was with my off the track standardbred Hero Semalu

How did I get into racing?
I actually got into racing by adopting an ott Standardbred gelding. His name is Hero Semalu and he is my hero! I started following pacing/trotting but grew tired and frustrated with their lack of hospitality to the horses. I switched to watching thoroughbreds and vowed to never bet on another standardbred race. Thoroughbred owners seem to have a little more heart then the standardbred racers. So, now I am here! :)
