Zipse I totally understand your reservations but remember this is not a route race, just 7 furlongs which he would have won if the wood memorial was that short. I think Todd Pletcher is an excellent trainer so I can't conceive this horse regressing by that much.
I just finished handicapping this one and St. Johns is the best bet. Like you said the distance will suit her well and Plum Pretty and It's Tricky will probably get into a speed duel opening it up for her to make the late charge.
Put em in with the males so we can see just how good these males are. I think either BL or HDG will take em.
I'm a New Yorker and I want to see the BC in Belmont every so often. Everyone watches the Super Bowl, but it feels special when your hometown is in it. No one should monopolize the BC, it should rotate.
One jockey almost unseated, One horse out for the next two months albeit the doctors say Animal Kingdom more than likely just aggravated an existing injury, I have to disagree with you. I was at Belmont with a friend who was going to the track for the first time. There is a reason why there are not alot of new comers in horse racing, alot of people don't think its on the up and up so some things do need to be battled in front of the media so that the fans know that infractions and foul play will be addressed.
