what was top 3?
I do a little thing called the eye test....cairo prince was laboring in the remsen and let honor code come back on to beat him (even at slowwww fractions), the Holy Bull while he did win it was shorter (95 beyer from what ive read), and then going back to a mile and 1/8th he did about what I expected to see. He wont win the derby.
So far I like the obvious Verrazano, hasn't been touched with a whip yet which is impressive...but goldenscents looked really good the other day. My gut tells me Verrazano may get runned down in the stretch.
Maybe for the Belmont...seemed to like the track and obviously wants more distance.
everyone thought he couldnt get the distance and he did. I didnt doubt it because he ran the fastest final 1/16th of the derby which mean he had some gas left in the tank. I think people hate on UR because of the hype and failure to deliver and produce a beyer over a 100. The next race should give us a better idea of what he can do. Hopefully johnny v stays on him and keeps him out of trouble.
oh my bad lol. Just was impressed with how well he ran and I knew that race was for 3yo and up. Guess that makes sense then.
always been a union rags fan and was happy to see him win. Did anyone see the Grade 2 Brooklyn H. on friday. Horse named Redeemed won it wire to wire, mile and a half race and ran it in 2:28. Not sure why he wasnt entered in the Belmont, he looked like a good horse.
had right to vote....missed street life in the ten cent super. So close...
Every jockey has a bad ride once in a while, ask Union Rags about that in his last race. What about the 16 wins in a row Smith had on her? Agree he messed up and he knows it, Zenyatta was a great horse.
He also went wide the whole race in the breeders cup. Was the best horse that day easily. Ran a big race.
