I was led astray temporarily by the same picture of Flatter that I was familiar with being on one of the other Flatters' Pedigree page. This is another of many times when horses of the same name are pictured next to articles about other horses.
How is it possible that Favorable Outcome is a colt by Flatter, when Flatter would have had to have been 37 when he covered the broodmare? Thoroughbred Pedigree Quiries is a little off here.
The time was extremely slow. I know he was carried wide, but the horses on the inside weren't. They were even slower. A mile in 1:37 is not even close to Triple Crown quality, and 1:44 and change at the finish, is ... well ... not impressive.
