Great Grandaddy won the Florida Derby so you know it's in the blood to go far! Candy Ride will be raising his fee after this spring season!
Love the name and love the move! Great Star of the Week!
Dear Twinspires and Churchill Downs.....I am NOT too happy about how you linked the fantasy game that used to be Road To The Roses with your betting website Twin Spires. Pardon me if I vent a little too much but you see I am mad at this situation. I have played and very much enjoyed the Road to the Roses since its inception. It has been a great lead-up to the Kentucky Derby for me each spring and no doubt I speak for others when I say that. This year, however, I will not be able to enjoy this rite of spring due to the fact that your once-fun free online public game is now linked to the BETTING and GAMBLING website Twin Spures which is BANNED in my homestate of South Carolina. Granted, I live in the Bible Belt, where it can be tough to buy a drink or find an open mall early on a Sunday, but when I moved here I certainly didn't bargain for giving up free and HARMLESS fun from an online activity where NO MONEY CHANGES HANDS! I wish, one, that the leadership of South Carolina was not so ate up with all things vice-oriented, and , two, that the webmasters of the Churchill Downs and Kentucky Derby websites would de-link the fantasy game from the GAMING website Twin Spired! I think I'll have to contact the websites directly but thank you HRN for letting me vent here. I really am a fan of the Road to the Roses game and the Kentuckly Derby. I'll just have to find some new fun I guess. Thanks you for listening and readng this vent. I feel better now, but to all other southerners in BANNED states, our governments are going to make us have to lie I guess to enjoy a harmless activity. Not to get too political but this is why I'm a libertarian. Signed, a Disgruntled Fantasy Gamer.....
kids for TV coverage, I would like to see the television broadcasters treat racing with respect. I think that they should teach the public how to read a racing form. If they did that then the public would know what to do in terms of placing bets on horses they like. Why doesnt NBC do a tutorial on how to read the form?
My longshot is the Governor!
Good luck in England, Java Honey! I still love you even though you didn't finish ahead of too many on Saturday! Will we see you back in the states sometime?
It will be a whole different race if the track comes up dry and the pace setters are in good form. Orb will have his work cut out for him BC some late chargers will have more room to go with him, eg Will Take Charge etc.
Was BO withdrawn from the Derby due to the post position?
Okay folks so we're really close now! I am lining up my almost final list of faves, and while the picks may change based on post position I am pretty well set. I will post my list here and ask for comments to see what everyone thinks. So here goes, #1 Revolutionary, #2 Orb, #3 Will Take Charge, #4 Normandy Invasion #5 Oxbow. I will also put something on longshots Java's War (odds going up higher after a weak work) and on Falling Sky just bc I think the name is apropos for the times in which we live. I have not yet figures out how I will bet my list though, and I supposed that is every bettors core question...how to use the info you gather. So, what do you all think? I likely dissed some of your faves by omission so you can comment on that too!
