Brian I think that reflects more on a person's character than the horse. It's there for everyone to see, it's a shame nevertheless. I never understood enmity towards any horse. All they do is bring joy into your life, such beautiful creatures.

some horses peak to be good in a narrow window, Unbridled did that...CONTINUITY of effort is needed for the mantle of greatness to be given out.

These rating aren't a true reflection when people can and do vote for their favorites numerous times while a few even take to downgrading the better horses many times to elevate theirs. Since I've been here I haven't rated more than 30 horses total and most times don't even look at the rating. If you know wwhere your horse belongs it shouldn't bother you in the least.

Round Table is voted too high in my opinion, but he was great on and off the turf, I understand how he is in the top 10

Easy Goer is a big one for the bias, but of all the sites out there I think HRN is the most unbiased.

He will always be one of my favorite horses, but to put him infront of Holy Bull would be insane.

Probably because he lacked the consistency but he beating Giant's Causeway and Sakhee both in a strech battle for the ages should have put him up there. I gave him a 10 EZ

I agree. It's a shame one person has rated him down over and over and over again. Kinda sad actually.

Ratings are loose, Tiznow is one of my favorite sires. I gave Fair Play a higher ranking than Comma To The Top, but who am I to say so? All I know of Fair Play is he rivaled Colin and sired Man O' War.

I consider him Top 20 but a number of horses ranked below him I don't think he would have beaten. He came from the same crop as Bold Ruler and Gallant Man. The three of them were very similar in ability but look where those two are rated here!

It isn't just Tiznow either. Tom Fool, Colin, Nashua, Gallant Man, Native Dancer, Easy Goer, Count Fleet, Cigar & Bold Ruler. Whenever I've voted for one of these horses, within several days they're knocked back down, lower than before I voted for them. There also seems to be a West Coast bias here. If you look at the Bloodhorse Top 100, all of the California based horses are rated lower than this site has them. Most of the eastern based horses are rated higher there.

Look where the 4th is, Iron Liege, a good horse (what horse from Calumet wasn't).

I haven't seen the other sites, Cocoa. Maybe they're even worse. But for an example, Round Table is one of my all-time favorites but I haven't voted for him because I think he's rated too high here. The West Coast horses don't need my help.
