Are you kidding me? Questing??? Every time My Miss Aurelia went against her, you beat her. Questing, 7 starts, 3 wins, 1 second and 3 off the board finishes! My Miss Aurelia on the other hand 4 starts, 2 wins, 1 second, 1 third. Oh Godolphin money, means Wise dan, with Fink should win, but doesn't stand a chance.
So Sorry, Terrible.
OK, so let's recap. Pluses; All of the horses made it home safe (Minus Take charge Indy and Daddy Long Legs pulling up, I will follow up on that), That's about it. Minuses, The Track: How is it possible that since Zenyatta ran in the Breeder's cup, (Remember it was cupping real bad) that track has gone to crap? Understand that the fractions were fast, but the track seems to make all of the horses all weekend look like the stretch is made of peanut butter. Of all of the stories that could have made headlines, this is not one of them. I truly want a Barbaro like story: Gemologist, undefeated through 5, or Union Rags helping heal wounds that are still open with his loss, Bodemeister with the recent health issues with Bob Baffert, or even the return of theChampion 2 year old Hansen! Nope, a middle pack odds horse wins that is trained by Doug O'Neil, who is famous for "Every 2 week" Running horses. Boring. Hindsight, what "Should have happened"? I thought Bodemeister would Press with Trinniburg, and would tire down the stretch, but he passed him and tried to draw clear! Hansen: Pressed HARD for the lead, once there, he could not dial it back in, I told Kelly Whitney (Before the race) that he needed to be in a stalking position, not a pressing position. That way he could be held up by horses and then work forward. Union Rags was bumped out of the gate, then just flat shut down. Hey guy, you got a ton of horse, give him the confidence he needs, not check twice out of the gate even if you have to go wide. Gemologist ran good, just good, but looked like he wasn't into the track, no excuses. Arguably Dullahan and Went the Day Well (From my favorite Trainer Graham Motion) showed the greatest performance of the whole day to close at that rate on a dead front stretch. Prospective lived up to his trainer and finished bottom 3 and I think may have had his name called once. Come to think of it, Optimizer, Rousing Sermon, Creative Cause, Alpha, El Padrino, Done Talking, Sabrecat, and Liaison, Did they even run? Oh yeah they did, they were the horses that clogged up the middle between the front and Union Rags. So in this race, what makes a good handicapper? To not have a F'ing clue, sit at a bar and yell "Hell, I'll have Another? That's the horse for me! Bartender gimme 'nother, yehaw" I guess I will wait till the Breeders cup to watch the actual "Class" Horses run without the "Also Ran's" PS, still think Hansen is the greatest horse in the field, but the trainer is doing his best to ruin him, or maybe it is the Owner that wants to dye his tail surrounded by uh hum,,,,,ladies, not sure.
Good thing I Bet him to win!! $220.80!
