Great retro, Brian! When do we get to see ND on the big screen!
mshutty: The bulky field makes it seem better, but how many of these horses belong in BC Turf? Admittedly, the big money and the G1 bring quite an eclectic bunch out of the woodwork. The International has done wonders for the Stockholm Invitational!
The Sky Clasic BC Turf was a thriller! I remember it well.
Too bad he's going right to Churchill. It would have been nice to see him in the Grey! Unusual to see a Tapit with that kind of breakneck speed. He could be a freak!
I would say so. I guess he goes to Keeneland next. Would love to see him back here in the...I think it's called the Autumn for older runners on Polytrack.
She was very impressive. It's not easy to fend them off when the rail is down. She moved pretty early. Classy filly. Easily front-runner for Canada's Horse of the Year! Two graded North of border and two graded south of the border!
Court Vision beat a better field than this last year. The Usual QT, who should have won last year, is days better than most of this unheralded bunch. Court Vision's lack of recent form is the problem Sunday.
Woodbinemile: No intend of painting as second rate. It's just rare that they're able to tally Grade 1 races in the United States. When the Alabama is said and done, we'll all be asking why Inglorious didn't stick around for a few more races. That's just my opinion. Maybe you share it with your what does it really prove question.
You're right about purse structure, Lazmannick. That's a definite built-in incentive to stay home and not worry about the pressures of going away. Good example is Sid Attard. Off the top of my head only trip south was with One For Rose.
Yes, Eclipse First, most certainly Jambalaya should have been on the list. I don't know how that short-term score eluded my memory. Thanks!
