How did I get into racing?
I first learned about racing when I read The Black Stallion by Walter Farley. I liked the books but didn't really pay any attention to real world racing until I watched the 2005 Kentucky Derby. Every year I made sure to watch the Derby but still did not pay much attention to things that weren't major headline races. That changed in the spring of 2011 when I decided to follow the Triple Crown Trail. I now stalk both the Bloodhorse website and Horse Racing Nation trying to stay up to date.
