Stay safe everyone!

"Less than two week into 2014 and Baltimore City has already had 16 homicides, and police said where it's happening is random."
"Neighbors say the sight of police tape marking off separate areas is becoming all too familiar in Park Heights, and something needs to change."

"Baltimore man charged in connection with Park Heights homicide"
"BALTIMORE - An 18-year-old man has been charged in connection with a homicide in Park Heights earlier this month.
Leron Gibbs of Baltimore is being held at the Baltimore City Detention Center for the shooting death of 22-year old Austaniel Brown.
Brown was shot to death in the 4900 block of Park Heights Avenue on Sept. 3."
Thanks for the info. Since you brought up Park Heights, the location of Pimlico, I thought I'd google the area to see if it is as safe as you say. One of the first articles that came up was from the Baltimore Sun that was dated February 13, 2015. Here's a snip-it of the article.
"16-year-old killed in Park Heights double shooting, 3 others shot in city Thursday"
"Two 16-year-olds were shot, one of them fatally, in a double shooting in Park Heights, amid two other shootings in the city Thursday, police said."
Yeah, that sounds like a really safe area of town for a tourist to be in.
Well a tourist from Toronto, Canada was just gunned down by a thug here in Louisville on Derby night. Yes the patrons might be safe at the track but what about outside the track, let's say traveling from and to your hotel, like the victim from Toronto? And by the way it was a black on white attack. Just thought I'd throw that out there considering all we seem to hear from our media is how blacks are being preyed upon by law enforcement and the evil white man.
Any news on Texas Red? I'm guessing they're looking for a Grade II or III type of event before taking on Grade I competition again.
American Pharoah looked freaking awesome today, even after losing a shoe. I know the Rebel field was a little on the weak side of things, but still, considering how Victor galloped around the track to win the way he did, makes me think AP is going to be hard to run down in the stretch if he makes the post at the KY Derby. I personally don't see a lot of other speed amongst this year's contenders that can keep up with him. Kind of reminiscent of how Bodemeister got away a few years ago before being run down by I'll Have Another.
Don't forget the two jocks who did the driving...Desormeaux & Smith got it done this past Saturday. The two wiley old veterans have both been there before. I'm sure both are pretty damn eager with their mounts going into this year's KY Derby. Both will be riding legit contenders for the Roses!
Ever heard of a horse called "Animal Kingdom"? The synthetic myth was blown to bits by him last year!
Watch his next race "live" or the replay might be hard to find. Seems tracks/organizations are cracking down on replays of their races. Why? Makes no sense! The following is a message that has been sent out to several(that I know of) "Youtube" accounts. Seems the sport could use all the "free" promotion/exposure it could get. Here's the threatening message from Gulfstreamracing's Youtube account: "Remove all Stronach Group Copyrighted videos from your site immediately or you will be reported to YouTube Copyright Infringement, this includes any videos from Santa Anita, Gulfstream Park, Golden Gate Fields, Portland Meadows, Laurel Park, Pimlico and Preakness"
