The live contests at Monmouth, Horsemen's Park, and Emerald are all solid tourneys!
Also..the 20 percent takeout as u mentioned makes sense to me. I was trying to come up with a number but just generalized instead.
Its funny.. I thought of these 9 things in about 9 minutes. Not all 9 "rules" apply to every tourney but to break one of the rules lowers it in my mind. NYRA tournaments are the best in my book. I did a blog entry on my favorite tournaments. Search for them.
The pace in the Florida Derby was much faster than the Grade III Skip Away for older horses that same day.
Thanks for the update.
The schedule is a bit light around Derby time though the Pick The Ponies tournament is a great tournament even though finding info on their website is next to impossible.
2nd day. The folks at DRF Bets picked a 7 horse field. U have endless amount of races, need one race a day, and u choose a 7 horse field?
There is barely a throw out in the race! I am interested in seeing how To Honor and Serve improves with the 2nd race off the layoff. I am a big Dialed In fan too. DI gets fast fractions to run at in Flor Derby. Stay Thirsty may get first run off a fast pace.
4/1 winner on the first day so no real harm done if didn't immediately sign up.
Lots of tournaments the weekend of April 16 and 17. Keeneland, Delaware, Hawthorne, and Championship at Orleans among others.
