That's good, but like I said; he'd EXCEL in sprinting. He was holding on for all he had in that race. No 12 or 10 furlongs for him. He MAY get 9 furlongs, but that is a big maybe.
Valiant effort by this timeless mare. But, in the end nowhere to run and just being an age old lad caught up with her. But even beyond this, she will forever be the greatest miler of her time. UNDOUBTEDLY.
No Triple Crown for Hansen, his talented style of running is MADE for sprinting. Leave the TC for the distance dudes.
Union Rags is obviously going to be the distance horse, but Hansen should be directed more to sprint races. There the grey fireball will absolutely prosper. Still the colt is undefeated, 3 for 3 and beating the doubters by slashing a great field.
