You have outdone yourself this week. By far one of your best blogs. Great story and great interviews.
Great article and hope Ms. Burrows dreams of being a jockey comes true. Good luck Brittany!
Great article Don. Like the Q and A with new GM Joe Morris and he seems positive for the outcome of racing in northern California. I couldn't imagine the current site of GGF being taken over by some lab. I and I know you have had some great memories there growing up especially those early days going with dad as a young kid. Would be odd looking looking towards to the bay driving on I-80 and not seeing the track. Interested in the outcome of this one and the future of the historical track called Golden Gate Fields. Look forward to your future articles tracking this.
Congrats to Mr. Bonde on his win Sunday. I can't lie I did like Scofield Barracks being that yes being military and liked watching that horse run down in SoCal. However that run by Excessive Passion was impressive.
I would have to agree on the best blog title of the year.. Has Espy status.. I do miss the fair circuit since moving away from the bay.. But the surf is looking good down here. Keep em' coming Don.
I'll have to keep an eye on City Route. Didn't get to watch this race but looked to be a fast 1/4. Will be interesting when they start to stretch these horses out another 1 to 2 furlongs.
Got the conference calls going now? Nice. Well as your northern circuit moves to the fairs I am especially waiting for the southern horses to head to Del Mar for some good racing where the surf meets the turf. Talking about good races good article about Dorf and the lost in the fog stakes. Who did you end up going with for that race? Are there plans for maybe some handicapping on your blog?
Since it is Memorial's day.. should read Being "in the" Chief's mess.. LOL.
Being a Chief's mess in the United States Navy.. Definately pulling for Bold Chieftain here as well. Additionally it doesn't hurt that I went to Salesian HS in Richmond which was home of the Chieftain
Don.. Like your blog and always look forward to it. What do you think of the different types of surfaces at our tracks at both NoCal and SoCal?
