Well it is the Derby and while the verdict remains out on the SA strip...who knows now that Mo went down!

This is kinda weird but I thought everyone should know. I'm not sure what happened but it went like this...I was at Keeneland on Oct 29th watching a race that featured Electric Alphabet who was trained by Cecil Borel and ridden by Calvin Borel. While checking out the horse in the paddock I noticed that he kept picking up his right front leg and shifting his weight around. While they were saddling him I noticed that he was shivering and since it was cold and knowing what Lasix does to horses in cold weather I dismissed the shivering. But the odd way that he was holding his front foot had me wondering since the trainer did not seem to recognize it as out of character. So, I threw out the horse based on that information and here's the kicker...he reared at the break and coming into the stretch he dropped his rider when he stumbled. I don't know if he fell or not because I missed the replay but it looked like he went down. Thankfully Calvin came back and rode on Saturday but I'm wondering about the horse. Is he ok and was this something unnatural for the horse or is he like that each time in the paddock?
