Oops, previous an old comment that somehow got on this thread...LOOK OUT, Awesome Maria, the thing about winning the Phipps tomorrow is It's Tricky, lol!
Linda Rice is the BEST--would love to see her add that Aqueduct trainer title to the Saratoga one!
Is there anyone else out there who thinks this horse isn't getting quite as much respect as he merits?
Going to be the race of the Memorial Day weekend for me, looking at a super edition of one of my favorites...like Caleb, but at least 4 or 5 of the listed probables would be no surprise--great betting race!
Cocoa2, not so sure about Artax, and I think w/ the weight break she'd give Prove Out at least a hypothetical run for the money. You are, however, spot on in my view when it comes to Dr. Fager...without a doubt the best sprinter I ever saw--or will ever see!!!
Don't harbor ANY doubts about BC, clearly the best racing today. All due respect to Frankel and the somewhat underpraised Awesome Feather, there is a WORLD of difference between 9 or 10 and 20 straight at this level. Big ups to BC, and her connections for their astute judgment.
Been cashing tickets on Rosie since early days in Maryland, through Louisiana and New York--great to see her get the Oaks, even better that she is fully recovered from injuries with a long and brilliant career ahead of her, and getting recognized where it really counts--getting top rides from top outfits. All due respect to M. Gutierrez, J. Talamo, J. Leparoux--Rosie is as good a rider as any of them, and look for her to continue to prove it @ Belmont and Saratoga.
Great race, great ride by Leparoux and anyone else think $42.30 exacta pretty generous for second choice over favorite?
Big day for grays yesterday! Big ups to Team Block, Julien (nice day!) and the classiest runner in the Block stable (ya hear that, Giant Oaf?)...
