I'm off today and was watching a few SA races online. I read your post before the race and it made a lot of sense. I have always been a class handicapper and the fact this filly ran with the top filly Zazu made me take notice right away. She was up on her toes in the paddock and looked ready to run. I thought the 4 looked good also. Oddly enough, I thought the winner # 8 looked sluggish. LOL. I love that betting angle, as so many times the horse we key has bad race luck ( as in this case) or are is beaten for first by another contender we figured in the race. Glad you caught the tri with Miss Radiance in the 2 spot.
Saw him up close at Canadian International in 1973, his last race. Best looking race horse I have ever seen. Muscles on muscles, an unforgettable aura. In his prime, he beats any horse that ever raced.
Watched the PBS special tonight and found this filly online. See she broke her maiden impressively Dec 5. Then found this great site. Did not know the dam was out of Rahy, the son of two great horses the champion Canadian filly Glorious Song and Blushing Groom. Watched then both race in Canada many years ago. Groom had a huge move at the end of every race. Song, one of the best fillies to ever race in Canada. Hope this filly continues to improve and have a great career. Surprised after the documentary Stone Farm sold this filly for $ 13,500 at the Fasig-Tipton sale.
