A. U. Miner is living on a farm near Lexington at the present moment. I see him almost every day and I am amazed at his resilience. His surgery was successful, but his left front leg and hoof are visibly imperfect. He walks fine, though with a limp, and even runs around some in his paddock. On nice days he enjoys sleeping in the sun! He has not been bred and I don't know if he will be.
Well . . . .thank goodness I'm NOT a handicapper--though there WAS that inquiry over Hessonite and I'm a Dreamer did finish a close 4th... In any case I'm happy to have Nahrain back in this year's Breeders Cup!
A very touching homage. Thank you for sharing.
You've got it right Brian, Saratoga is the place to be--and what a weekend to be there! The highlight for me had to be seeing the Chief in the winner's circle with Emma's Encore! Unfortunately, I had to watch from afar! Sorry I missed you!
Fantastic race yesterday in the 8th at Ellis Park for Mr. Jeeves--a great win for Mike Bell and a perfect ride by Roberto Morales!
I believe there is one at Oklahoma...
Great points from you both, Matt and Brian! Personally, I often find myself cheering for the late bloomer and am looking forward to more from Teeth of the Dog in particular.
I didn't know that--thanks for sharing!
The barns themselves are historic too! It's really neat to get to explore back here!!
Snuck a quick peek at him this morning!!
