Outstanding pedigree, and trained by the Jerkins family. What a combination, and what glorious odds.
You nailed it amdaman. It is still a horse race, and the favorite does not always win. 12 furlongs, has stopped many great race horses. Looking for some pretty big numbers from this race.
Matuszak.? Son of AP Indy.? What's not to like. Mike smith aboard, and a mile and a half. He will part of my trifect box.
CC is a serious contender for the Belmont. There is not too many horses in the Belmont that have the pedigree to negotiate the mile and a half. Commanding Curve reeks of distance in his pedigree. Mater Command out of AP Indy, should put CC, at a distinct advantage. Hopefully, he will stay sound and healthy, and is my top pick, along with ROC. Good luck to all.
Really like Ride on Curlin. Think Danza will have distance issues. CC, can be there at th end. Looks like a great betting derby.
If you were a fan of Candy ride, ya gotta love Candy Boy. Will love the Derby distance, and flying at the end.
Pray tell,No trouble for"Vicar, what 3 year old running this year is even close to a'SEATTLE SLEW"?.
Don't come any tougher then Tiznow, who raced 16 times, and hit the board 15. One of the best to come out of the gate.
I would underestimate Candy Boy's distance and pedigree issue'sCandy Ride,Ride The Rails, and Cryptoclearnce, blood lines will allow him to negotiate the Derby distance. He has a Hall of Famer rider,Gary Stevens, who is the master at getting a horse to relax. If he remains healthy and sound, i believe he will be a legitimate contender for the Roses in May.
Cairo Prince has distance limitations.? Why.? Sire,Pioneer of The Nile, and grandsire, ran distances from a mile to a mile and one half. Throw in the Belmont Stakes, at a mile and one half, and you have your peigee profile. If the Prince remains healthy and sound, he could be a serious Derby contender. Nice colt.
